4 1/2 Weeks

The pups have grown like weeds!

Penny has been a stellar mom and has made taking care of the puppies pretty easy. She started weaning them this week, and I'm glad of the need for more interaction with the pups. They can see pretty well, are running around, climbing and curious about everything! Their personalities are really starting to come out now, and it's amazing how eight little dogs can all be so different.

Pictures, As Promised!

They're here! Penny whelped eight healthy, fat, darling pups on 4/18/09 (or rather, started then and finished early the next morning---long night!). She four females and four males, all of which look just perfect.

Dew claws were removed yesterday, and Penny and her pups have settled down into a routine of eating and sleeping. 

Puppies Whelped!

I'm happy to announce that our Penny successfully whelped her litter last night. The puppies and their momma are doing great and settling in. We will be taking deposits on puppies now, so if you are interested in buying one of these darlings, please contact us.

Our family has hugely enjoyed being around Swissies. The longer we've been owners, the more we have come to enjoy the beauty, the fun, and the personality of Swissies. As I mentioned in our profile, we are hobby breeders, not full time dog breeders, and so our primary objectives in breeding puppies is to produce healthy, high quality Swissies whose owners will enjoy and love them as much as we do.
